Joe LOVES his sister

Over the past two weeks, Joe Sung MIn-Ah and his sister have become very close.  He is always on the hunt for her if she's not in sight and he loves to watch her and try to do what she is doing.  And the feeling is mutual.  Olivia has been a better big sister than we ever imagined; sharing her toys, comforting him, teaching him how to do things and, most recently, feeding him.

This morning we had pancakes for breakfast.  The other day, he wanted nothing to do with them.  Today, however, they were his favorite and his best.  Not expecting him to eat one, I brought one and he pretty much ate all of it.  And whenever Liv asked me for another one, she took over feeding her little brother and he was a perfect little gentleman for her.

He really likes it when I feed him pancakes, Mama

After Joe's morning nap, we went over to Grandma's house for lunch - and drop Liv off for her sleepover.  It wasn't a long visit as Liv was pushing us out the door as quickly as possible so she could have her alone time with Grandma before Grandpa got home from golfing.  They had a little surprise to work on for his birthday.  Shh!!

Brian was putting the finishing touches on the chicken run outside so we went in to play before nap #2.  Luckily this boy likes to nap!!  After nap,  it was play time with Papa while I ran out to Chipotle to pick up some dinner.

Joe Sung Min-Ah is a big fan of the burrito bowl.  Tonight, I put a little scoop of guacamole on the high chair tray to see if we could get him to feed himself from his hands.  No such luck, but I do think he'll have a future in finger painting.

Is there something on my face?
If you look closely, you can see guacamole all over my hands
Little man was such a mess after dinner that we thought a bath would be the smartest move.  Joe wasn't interested in playing in the bath too much, I think he missed his big sister and it wasn't as much fun without her.  Quick bath = early bed = happy Mama
